DETROIT – Fall has decided to make a fashionably late appearance. Don’t forget your umbrella and an extra layer as you head out the door.

A cold front is steadily sweeping across the region that will continue to bring rain chances through midday. After a mild start, temperatures plateau in the upper 60s through the lunch hour before falling through the afternoon. We will continue to turn much cooler today with areas of showers becoming more isolated through the dinner hours.

For perspective, we are waking up today with temperatures on either side of 70 and by this time tomorrow morning we will see widespread 40s. Cool and dry conditions build in Wednesday and last through the end of the week. Highs will be in the 60s. Worth mentioning that frost will be possible Wednesday night and Thursday night. Highs this weekend will be on either side of 70 as the dry stretch rolls on.

ALDS Forecast

If you are heading to one of the ALDS games at Comerica Park this week, it wouldn’t hurt to pack a poncho today, although rain chances will be very isolated and light by the time we get to the first pitch at 4:08PM. Wednesday will be drier with sunshine, but cooler as temperatures will slide out of the 60s at first pitch (3:08PM) and into the 50s throughout the game.
