Recognising the importance of international collaboration in promoting scientific discoveries, the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore (A*STAR) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation)signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on research cooperation. To facilitate the support of collaborative work between Singaporean researchers and their German counterparts under this MoU, A*STAR and the DFG announced a Lead Agency activity in the area of sustainable chemistry and published an Open Call.Join the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) for a prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSC-PF) 2025. DKFZ offers 15 positions in all areas of cancer research across Heidelberg, Dresden, Mainz, and Munich. What can we do for you?
- You can visit us on our premises, but it is necessary to schedule an appointment by writing to asean@euraxess.net. We will be glad to welcome you.
- Inviting the EURAXESS ASEAN team to your institutions - universities, research institutes, and companies is possible. We will be glad to present the services offered by EURAXESS, cooperation, career opportunities with Europe, etc.

Tatas is a biochemist at Petra Christian University with over a decade of expertise in strategic planning and management roles, focusing on promoting research, enhancing research capacity, building a community of researchers, and establishing and developing partnerships. He earned several prestigious awards, including the Toray Science & Technology Award 2017, the Study UK Alumni Award 2017, and the Georg Foster Research Fellowship 2019. Notable positions he served include the Director of a National CoE in Photosynthesis Research, Vice President of the Indonesian Young Academy of Sciences for Science and Policy Affairs, and the President of the Indonesian Chemical Society. As the founding chair of the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) Southeast Asia Chapter, he has been pivotal in nurturing EU-ASEAN research networks. Tatas obtained his Master's Degree from the Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich and his Doctoral Degree from the University of Glasgow through the Marie Curie Research Training Network. Within ASEAN, he covers Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Timor Leste.

Leonie is an expert in Education Diplomacy and Sustainability. As the former Director of the Education Department at the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), she led large scale programmes on education policies, higher education cooperation, teacher professionalisation, lifelong learning as well as youth leadership across 51 countries in Asia and Europe. Next to her career in international education and education diplomacy, she is the Co-founder of a social enterprise in Singapore that drives circularity in education systems. She received her Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences from the Free University of Berlin. Within ASEAN, Leonie covers Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.EURAXESS ASEAN organizes or co-organizes networking, information and training events across ASEAN.
