Advice: Death of His Holiness Pope Francis
Following the death of Pope Francis on 21 April 2025, large crowds can be expected in Rome and the Vatican City over coming days. A nine-day mourning period has begun, and hundreds of thousands of mourners are anticipated to travel to the Vatican over this time. The funeral will be held on 26 April 2025.

Update: Myanmar and Thailand earthquake
Two large earthquakes struck central Myanmar on 28 March 2025. A significant 7.7 magnitude earthquake with an epicentre 16km northwest of Sagaing, near the city Mandalay and a subsequent 6.4 magnitude aftershock which struck shortly after with and epicentre 18km south of Sagaing.
