East Coast Storm; Heavy Rain and Flooding in the Southwest U.S.; Typhoon Remnants Impacting Alaska

A coastal storm continues to bring heavy rain, coastal flooding, high surf, dangerous rip currents, and gusty winds to the East Coast into early Tuesday. A heavy rain and flash flood risk continues for the Southwest/Four Corners region with lingering tropical moisture through Monday. A Coastal Flood Advisory including the Middle Texas Coast and barrier islands will go into effect this evening at 6 PM through 11 AM Monday. Beach roads will be inundated at times. A MODERATE risk of rip currents will also be present. Please use caution at the beach!
Sunny and dry again today with southeasterly winds 5-15 mph. Highs will generally range from the mid 80s along the coast to the mid 90s over the Brush Country. Relative humidity can drop as low as 25-40% inland this afternoon.
There is a MODERATE risk of rip currents along Gulf-facing beaches today. In addition, coastal flooding may inundate beach roads through the mid-morning. Please use caution if you plan to go to the beach today.
Dry and clear tonight with light southeasterly winds and lows dropping into the mid 60s inland. There is also a very low chance of patchy fog over the inland Coastal Plains and Brush Country.
Besides low rain chances Tuesday south and on Friday over the Victoria Crossroads, this work week will be mainly dry. High temperatures will continue to range from the mid 80s along the coast to the mid 90s inland. Lows will be able to drop down into the low-mid 60s inland but remain in the low-mid 70s along the coast.
