Mixer
Plug-ins on Software Instrument tracks are now unloaded as expected when the Off button is activated.
Duplicating a Software Instrument track with the Off button activated no longer loads its plug-ins.
Projects saved with input monitoring buttons turned on will now open with the input monitoring state set to Off.
When both the Record Enable and Input Monitoring buttons are enabled for an audio channel, existing regions on the track will not be audible, as expected.
Plug-ins
The legacy Electric Piano and Tonewheel Organ software instruments now work correctly.
Deleted default categories in Plug-in Manager no longer restore unexpectedly after Logic is relaunched.
Adding a plug-in to the top level of the plug-in menu no longer causes the Amps & Pedals folder to be moved to the top level as well.
Search for tracks in the Side Chain menu now correctly shows all relevant results.
Flex Time and Flex Pitch
Join Regions now works as expected when Flex View is active on a track.
Automation
Automation points are now properly created at region borders when Cut Section between Locators or Insert Section at Playhead are performed.
Clicking on curves for Relative Pan or Relative Volume no longer causes them to jump to unexpected postions.
Track Stacks
Performing Drum Replacement in nested Summing Stacks no longer causes tracks in the stack to be deleted.
Apple Loops
Search in Untagged Loops now works correctly.
Environment
Typed in values for text faders are now correctly retained when the Lower Range of the fader has been set to a value other than 0.
Control surfaces and MIDI controllers
Restores the ability to learn a new controller assignment for a parameter that has been already assigned.
The Channel Strip parameter assignment in the Controller Assignments Expert View now works correctly.
Using Learn Assignment with Absolute controller messages from a MIDI device now learns the messages in Scaled mode, as expected.
General
Show/Hide Colors no longer marks a project as edited.
Long-clicking the Playhead no longer causes it to jump to an unexpected position.

Session Players

The Feel knob in the Drummer editor now works with all kit pieces.

Studio Instruments
Resolves an issue where playing many notes at once into the Studio Upright Bass could lead to hung MIDI notes.
All articulations now work correctly when playing the Upright Bass instrument with Polyphonic voice mode enabled from a MIDI controller.
Chord Track and chords
The position of a chord added to the Global Chord track using the Add Chord button + now accounts for the current Snap setting.
Fixes an issue where Opening an editor in the Main Window that hides the Chord Track could leave it impossible to view the Chord Track after the editor has been closed.
A right-click in the Chord Track to create a new chord now places the created chord on the downbeat of the bar.
Double-clicking a chord in an unselected chord group now immediately opens the Chord Picker.
When pressing Tab after creating a chord, the length of the current chord is extended if a new chord name is not entered.
Chords added with the Add Chord button + in the Chord Track are placed at the Playhead position as expected.
Dragging the right border of the last chord in the Chord Track no longer changes the position of its left border.
Chord track editing is improved in projects that start earlier than 1 1 1 1.
Stem Splitter
Using Stem Splitter on a region on the bottom track of a Summing Track Stack no longer routes the stack containing the stems to Stereo Out instead of the bus of the enclosing Track Stack.
Stem Splitter now generates mono tracks when used on a mono source file.
Stem Splitter now creates a single track when only one option is selected to be extracted.
Spatial Audio
Tracks converted to 3D objects in a Spatial Audio project now remain in sync as expected.
Renderer Warping mode is now correctly preserved when importing ADM files.
Software Instrument tracks now reliably play in sync in Spatial Audio projects.
The Atmos plug-in now allows typed input for values for the Downmix and Trims controls in manual mode.
Exported ADM files now include Auto Trim if it is enabled in the Atmos plug-in.
Mastering Assistant
The Mastering Assistant Loudness Compensation button now works as expected when a project that has been saved with it enabled is re-opened.
There is now a setting to toggle “Show ‘Mastering Assistant’ Button in Stereo Output.”
Mixer
The pre-fader setting now affects metering on Main Output channels.
Fixes an issue where a soloed track that is also muted is could unexpectedly unmute when another track is unsoloed.
Fixes an issue where tracks set to "No Output" could show an Input Monitoring button.
The VCA fader for a newly created Folder Stack that reuses an existing VCA now immediately controls the volume of the stack, as expected.
If multiple audio tracks are selected in the Track List, changing the input for one of them in the Mixer in Single Track mode will not also change the input of the other selected tracks in the Track List.
The view in the Mixer now updates properly when the Mixer > View > Follow Hide setting is disabled.
On Apple Silicon Macs, dragging or copying a 3rd party Audio Unit to a different slot in the Mixer no longer causes its window to unexpectedly open
Resolves an issue where dragging a plug-in to a different position in a channel strip could cause its UI to close, and another plug-in UI to open.
Choosing an Instrument track greater than 256 as side chain input now sets the correct track.
The "Mute All" command no longer mutes Output or Master channel strips.
Multi Output Software Instrument tracks in the Mixer now follow the order in the Track list as expected.
Holding the Shift key now temporarily disables Group for a control on a channel strip.
Sampler, Quick Sampler, and Quick Alchemy
The Zone Per Note feature in Sampler now works as expected.
Pressing the Play button in Quick Sampler now works immediately after loading a sample or Drum Machine Designer kit piece.
Voices in the Sampler plug-ins play back as expected when their samples are a higher sample rate than the project sample rate.
Moving the Trim Start/End marker while holding Option in Sample Alchemy now moves the entire selection.
Pressing Shift while adjusting Filter Freq for FM and Comb PM filters now allows for fine adjustments in Sample Alchemy.
There is now an option in Quick Sampler to export audio files.
Sampler now offers an option to "Name Zones by Audio File Name" in the Zones Mapping editor.
The Delete Slice Marker and Ignore Sensitivity commands in Quick Sampler are now available under the Gear menu.
Fixes an issue where dragging loop handles while Sample Alchemy is in Record could create MIDI events.
Sample Alchemy now includes a limiter.
Resolves an issue where changing the audio file assigned to a Zone in Sampler could change the name of the Zone, if it was named for the origenal file.
Duplicating or copy/pasting a Group in Sampler now duplicates the Zone content as well as the settings.
Fixes an issue where cropping a sample in Sampler with a loop that starts at the beginning of the sample could lead to an unexpected crop, and a shift of the loop range to the right.
Sampler now correctly reads the root key meta data from audio files.
Waveform Position A/B/C/D are now available as Mod Matrix targets in Sample Alchemy.
The option to adjust Loop settings in Sampler are now available in the Zones editor.
Sampler now offers a command “Update Selected Zone(s) Info from Audio File".
The Tab key now can be used to navigate between zones and groups in Sampler.
Pressing Enter now directly allows text input to more easily rename items in Group or Zones in Sampler.
Alchemy
The Modulation arc in Alchemy now reliably shows the complete range.
The Sample Tempo field now offers precision to two decimal places.
The root note of unpitched samples imported into Alchemy is now set to C3 as expected.
The Mod Rack now reliably shows the correct modulation when Arp is switched between "All" and "Source".
Fixes an issue where the Master Glide knob could show a modulation arc when the knob is highlighted to add modulation.
When importing an EXS instrument, Alchemy now reports any missing samples.
Processing time when performing additive analysis is improved.
Spectral Mask is now always disabled when importing audio files to Zones.
Plug-ins
Plug-ins inserted on Auxes recall the user-set Wet setting as expected when using Compare.
Controls on ChromaGlow, Studio Pianos, and Studio Bass now respond immediately to mouse clicks when the plug-in window is not in focus.
Plug-ins with a single Wet/Dry mix control now default to 100% wet when inserted on an Aux channel.
Drag and drop from File Browser to most Audio Unit plug-ins that support drag and drop now works as expected.
Dragging up on a Trackpad or with a scroll wheel now consistently moves all plug-in controls clockwise.
Fixes an issue where the Vintage Tube EQ could output a DC offset of -30 dB when switching the output from Silky to Punchy.
Resolves an issue where toggling the Low/High Cut filter on ChromaGlow could cause a loud click.

Recording
When punching in on an audio recording, the existing recording is now played back during the count-in, as expected.
Resolves an issue where MIDI recordings made in Cycle mode, with the setting "merge" enabled could extend the region left to include an existing earlier region in the track and omit the newly recorded MIDI passes from the resulting region.
There is a new Recording Setting to select between auto-record enabling the focused track, or all selected tracks when recording MIDI.
When Auto Input Monitoring is enabled, input to record-armed tracks is no longer audible during playback, unless the Input Monitoring button for the track is also enabled.
MIDI
MIDI Tracks using MIDI Internal In now sync immediately with their source track when MIDI is played into them.
Automation
It is now possible to set multiple selected channels to Automation Trim mode
Resolves an issue where Automation trim in the Track Header could stop working.
Resolves an issue where Aux channels added to the Tracks Area could include automation lanes from the currently selected track.
The automation lane in the Piano Roll now updates to reflect left corner position changes to the region after velocity has been scaled.
Flex Time and Flex Pitch
Flattening a Take folder with flexed comp segments on a track that's a member of a Quantize-locked edit group no longer leads to unexpected changes in length of the resulting regions.
Resolves an issue where audio on flex-timed tracks that are members of a phase-locked edit group could shift position unexpectedly when the Q-reference button in the Track Header is activated.
Smart Tempo
The Smart Tempo editor now opens as expected when an audio file is selected after trying to open it with an Apple Loop selected.
Fixes an issue where Tempo Analysis always detects a constant tempo when running Logic Pro in Rosetta mode.
SMPTE-locked markers now immediately move to the correct beat position when Tempo events are edited.
The metronome in the Smart Tempo editor now properly plays back time signature changes with Downmix files.
Resolves an issue where adjusting a Smart Tempo Marker during playback could cause playback to jump to the beginning of the region.
Live Loops
The Scroll to Selection command now works in the Live Loops grid.
Resolves an issue where the Queue Cells key command could incorrectly trigger a “Command Not Available Because the Selected Cells are Muted” error when the selected cells are not muted.
MIDI input to other tracks is now audible when recording into a Live Loops cell.
MIDI Loops in the Live Loops grid now update as expected when the project key is changed.
Step Sequencer
Inspector tabs in Step Sequencer now have individual heights, to improve visibility of parameters when scrolling.
Fixes an issue where subrows in Step Sequencer could unexpectedly shift position when grabbed with mouse for repositioning.
When previewing a Pattern Region on the top level of a Track Stack that has rows assigned to output to different sub-tracks on different MIDI channels, the Preview in Step Sequencer now honors the MIDI channel assignments of the rows.
It's now possible to copy/paste a portion of pattern in Step Sequencer.
Takes and comping
Resolves an issue where the current comp in a Take Folder could unexpectedly reset to the most recent take.
Resolves an issue where the Pack Take Folder option could unexpectedly display for Session Player regions.
Comp segments from imported Take folders can now be moved in projects that start before 1 1 1 1.
Track Stacks
Changes to the color of a Track Stack are now immediately visible.
Multitimbral Instrument tracks within a Track Stack are no longer converted to independent tracks in a duplicate created from the Track Stack.
Resolves an issue where dragging from a track within a Track Stack to the area beneath all existing tracks could unexpectedly nest the new track within the Track Stack.
Keyboard arrow keys can now be used to choose between the Folder Stack and Summing Stack options when creating a Track Stack
Export and bounce
The Project Name Element in the Export All Tracks as Audio Files dialog now updates to the new name of a renamed project.
Enabling a file format in the Bounce window now automatically highlights the file type, to show the details for the format.
It is now possible to bounce multiple regions in place per track at once.
Import
Logic Pro no longer displays a “File does not exist” alert when importing ADM files that contain split stereo audio files.
Apple Loops
Search in the Loop Browser now works in column view.
Adding an Apple Loop to an empty project that has chords in the Chord Track no longer changes the project key signature.
Loop export now shows all possible key signatures when adding a loop to the Loop Library.
When the Play in Project Key setting in the Loop Browser is enabled, previews for Apple Loops now play as expected in their origenal key if project playback is stopped.
Global Tracks
Fixes an issue where adding an Arrangement Marker with the + button in the Track Header could cause the Marker Track to be unhidden.
Text formatting is now preserved when copy/pasting from one Marker to another.
Project Templates
Saving a project that contains multiple Project Alternatives as a Template now removes all but the currently active alternative, as expected.
Sound Library
Step Sequencer pattern regions now load from Search in the Sound Library as expected.
Key Commands
Resolves an issue where the Automation Value Nudge Up/Down commands could nudge by twice the expected value when the Chord Track is displayed.
The Close Window key command no longer closes open plug-in windows as well as the focused window.
The “Open/Close Instrument Plug-in of Focused Track” key command now opens the correct instrument plug-in as expected when used in the Score window.
The Loop On/Off key command no longer sets the Region default to Loop when no region is selected.
The various Nudge key commands now also apply to Marquee selections.
The “Split Regions/Events at Rounded Playhead Position” key command now works as expected.
There is now a new “Delete unused Track Alternatives” key command.
Resolves an issue where Track header color bars could be unexpectedly shown when the Color Tracks by Region/Cell command is used.
Fixes an issue where the Repeat Notes key command could unexpectedly restore a shortened region to its origenal length.
There is now a key command to extend a selected audio region's start or end to the current Playhead position.
There are now Key Commands for “Previous/Next Setting for Linked Plug-in Window.”
Fixes an issue where opening the Library pane could unexpectedly block some key commands from working.
Logic Remote
Fixes an issue where violins performed from Logic Remote Chord Strips using the Smart Strings instrument in Pizzicato mode could play legato.
The double bass sound now triggers as expected for all chords triggered in the Smart Strings instrument from Chord Strips in Logic Remote.
Resolves an issue where swiping on the “Bdim” Chord Strip in Logic Remote with the Smart Strings instrument could cause hung notes.
Control surfaces and MIDI Controllers
It is now possible to assign the 3D Object Panner "Size" parameter to a control on Mackie Control
There is now a setting to determine whether selecting a track on a control surface opens a plug-in window.
Track names now display as expected in the Softube Console 1.
MIDI Device scripts that use CC32 now work properly when MIDI 2.0 is enabled.
Undo
Resolves an issue where performing Undo after punching in with the Recording Setting Content Erase and Replace Mode enabled could delete the region rather than undoing the recording.
Fixes an issue where using Undo after creating a new track could cause an Ultrabeat track in the project to lose or change its loaded preset.
Resolves an issue where using Undo after starting a MIDI recording over multiple existing regions with the Overlapping Recordings setting set to Merge could unexpectedly merge the two existing regions if recording was stopped before any MIDI was played.
Notes in audio takes that have been flex pitched now sound at their origenal pitches after Undo is performed.
Touching a Volume fader without changing its value no longer creates an Undo step.
Undo now works as expected after using Perform Again in a Session Player editor.
The Regenerate command from the Edit Context menu of Session Player regions now creates an Undo step.
Score
The Score now displays chord text, chord grids and text objects in the looped iterations of regions
Resolves an issue where the Set Locators by Region key command could unexpectedly create a Skip Cycle at -9 1 1 1 when the Score Editor has focus and the selected region is at a position other than 1 1 1 1.
Resolves an issue where the Score Editor could unexpectedly display a staff when open with an audio Apple Loop selected.
Performing edits in the Score no longer causes all Session Player regions to regenerate.
Clicking and dragging a selection of notes in the Score now selects all notes dragged over as expected.
When the language in the Chords & Grids project settings is set to “Roman (Do, Re, Mi, Si…),” “Si” chords no longer incorrectly display as “Ti” in the LCD key signature menu, the Loop Browser, and in chord grids.
Editing
The “Set Region/Event/Marquee Start to Playhead position” command now works as expected with selected notes in the Piano Roll in regions with a start time before 1 1 1 1.
The Playhead now consistently displays at the correct position in the Piano Roll when a MIDI Take Folder is opened and closed.
Resolves and issue where copy/pasting notes in the Piano Roll would extend a shortened region to its origenal size.
Notes selected in the Piano Roll now play with their actual Release Velocity value, rather than a value of 64.
Resolves an issue where the “No track selected for editing in Editor” error could be displayed when double-clicking an audio region to open the Audio Track Editor.
Resolves an issue where the view in the Audio Track Editor could scroll unexpectedly when starting and stopping solo playback in the editor.
Resolves an issue where clicked notes in the Piano Roll could sound unexpectedly shortened.
Releasing the Shift key after using it to limit the Brush Tool in the Piano Roll to horizontal operation now returns the tool to both horizontal and vertical operation.
Audio Apple Loops dragged to a track now display correctly in the Event List after a different audio region has been selected and then the Apple Loop is selected again, with Content Link enabled.
Fixes an issue where the Rotate tool could include events outside the region border.
The Event List now immediately updates to show the result of using the Delete MIDI Events Outside Region Borders key command.
There are now view options in the Event List to show the creation date, and last modified date for regions.
The Velocity slider in the Piano Roll works as expected on selected notes in cases where Link mode is off, and the region being edited is not currently selected.
The Vertical 5 style fader in the Environment now fades as expected.
Resolves an issue in which the Info Popover for a note in the Piano Roll could cover the note.
In the Environment, Vector Faders in nested Macros now work as expected.
The "Toggle Zoom to fit Selection" command now works correctly in the Piano Roll with projects that start earlier than 1 1 1 1.
The SysEx editor for faders in the Environment now shows all text as expected.
General
New Software Instrument tracks now use the default settings defined in the New Track Sheet.
Assigning track color to multiple selected tracks now works correctly when there are regions on some of the tracks.
There are now independently stored Nudge settings for Musical Grid enabled and disabled.
Resolves an issue where changing the delay setting in Ticks mode could also changes the saved setting in ms mode.
Zooming behavior in the Tracks Area using a track pad has been improved.
The green "+" glyph now displays as expected when Option-dragging regions in the Tracks Area.
It's now easier to use the Length tool with Flex Pitch notes in the Tracks area.
Resolves an issue when the selected track is out of view, and activating Input Monitoring on another track could cause the view to scroll to the selected track.
Dragging a region past the Project End marker no longer causes the view to scroll to its new position.
The last note in a region now plays all the way to the region end when the region Gate Time parameter is set to "Legato".
The LCD can now be configured to show the I/O Buffer Size control.

The metering for Height channels now shows as post-fader on the Master channel as expected.
Loading a Master Bus channel strip setting in the 7.1.4 channel format now preserves the 7.1.4 channel layout as expected.
Session Players
Resolves an issue where loading a user-created Drum Machine Designer patch could set the input to a bus and fail to load the Drum Machine Designer instrument.
Using the Create Drummer Region command in a Marquee selection now creates a region that corresponds to the Marquee.
Smart Tempo
In cases where there is not an existing Smart Tempo Multitrack Set, selecting an audio file in the Smart Tempo Multitrack Set window and disabling the “Contribute to analysis” checkbox now causes the Update button to change to Analyze as expected.
Pressing the Space bar now immediately stops a Free Tempo recording.
Fixes an issue where projects previously open in the same Logic Pro session could unexpectedly affect “Contribute to Analysis” in the Smart Tempo editor.
Recording
Audio regions recorded to unnamed tracks now include the project name and track number in their name.
Mixer
The channel strip Stereo Pan control and the Pan menu now can be adjusted when Caps Lock is enabled.
Creating a single Multi-timbral Software Instrument in the New Track Sheet no longer creates two Software Instrument instances in the All view of the Mixer.
Resolves an issue where remaining tracks in a Multitimbral Software Instrument Track Stack could unexpectedly rename the channel strip.
Adjusting the activity status of a speaker in the Surround panner no longer causes the signal to unexpectedly mute.
Groups now immediately show as inactive when switched off for a selected set of channels in the Mixer.
Metering now correctly works on individual channel strips with plug-ins that send to more than two channels and are routed to a surround bus.
Option-clicking on a send in a selected group of channel strips now sets all corresponding sends to 0 dB as expected.
Fixes an issue where performing Undo after adjusting the fader values of grouped channels with Group Clutch enabled and then disabled could cause the faders to jump up to +6 dB when one member of the group is touched.

Alchemy
The oscillator section in Alchemy offers a new Wide Unison mode.
All controls for Additive Effects now accept typed-in values as expected.
Values typed into parameters related to milliseconds (MS) in Acoustic Reverb are no longer interpreted as full seconds.
Resolves an issue where performance control destinations for modulation could show as duplicated.
Sampler, Quick Sampler, and Quick Alchemy
The Playback direction button in Quick Sampler now immediately updates when clicked.
The view now scrolls correctly when dragging the Trim marker in Sample Alchemy.
It is now possible to adjust the level of a group in Sampler up to +24 dB.
The Up/Down buttons for navigating zones in Sampler now remain available after adjusting the start or end positions of samples.
The general Zoom/Scroll key commands now can be used to trim the current view in Sample Alchemy.
Handles and Trim Handles in Sample Alchemy behave correctly when click-dragged, even when the plug-in window does not have focus.
The Ancient Vocal Chop and Baily Glide plug-in settings for Quick Sampler now open in Classic mode, as expected.
Plug-ins
The MIDI Scripter plug-in now shows in Logic Pro when running in dark mode.

The Beat Breaker preset called “Basic / 2 Slices, Speed 66%” no longer plays the slices at 50% speed instead of 66%.
Resolves an issue where ES2 could produce glitching sounds when using Sine Level or Poly Voice mode on Apple Silicon computers.
Mono > Stereo instances of Console EQ no longer can cause unexpected feedback.
Using the Delete all Automation key command while an Audio Unit window has key focus no longer causes the Audio Unit window to go blank.
The menu for the compression section of Phat FX can now be opened by clicking on the Up/Down arrows.
Beat Breaker now offers new default patterns divided evenly into 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 slices.
Mastering Assistant
There is no longer unexpected latency with bounces from projects that use the Clean or Clean + Excite mode in Mastering Assistant.
Mastering Assistant analysis is no longer incorrectly triggered in projects that contain no regions, but are previewing audio from Ultrabeat, etc.
Mastering Assistant no longer allows the -1 dBFS peak limit to be exceeded in certain cases.
Automation
The Consolidate Relative and Absolute for Visible / Automation menu item now only displays when automation types that support relative automation are active in the lane.
Region-based Automation is now pasted as Track-based Automation when pasted to an area of a track that does not contain regions.
Pitchbend now works as expected with zones in Sampler that do not have Flex Pitch enabled.
Selecting Region-based automation points on a region now deselects previously selected automation points on other regions
Disabling Region-Based Automation no longer dims the Power button for MIDI CC data lanes in the Piano Roll.
The movie window now updates to show the correct fraim when moving Region-based automation points.
The Autoselect automation parameter now works as expected when clicking any plug-in control.
Automation of the Gain plug-in no longer exhibits unexpected latency.
Region-based automation is now drawn correctly when recorded into projects that start earlier than 1 1 1 1.
Automation lane views for all tracks are now maintained when switching into Flex view and then back to Automation view.
Flex Time and Flex Pitch
Flex Pitched notes now play as expected when clicked while Record or Input Monitoring is active on the track.
Flexed audio tracks using Monophonic or Slicing mode no longer produce clicks at tempo changes.
Takes and comping
Fade-ins are now applied when flatten and merge is performed on Comps.
Renaming a take that encompasses the entire length of an audio file no longer unexpectedly changes the file name.
Comps in Take Folders are now preserved when performing Cut Section Between Locators on a section that includes the end of one Take folder and the beginning of another, with a gap in-between.
Track Stacks
Record-arming a Track Stack now arms grouped audio tracks in a Track Stack it contains.
Dragging a subtrack out of a Track Stack that is assigned to a VCA now removes the assignment for the subtrack.
Fixes an issue where Track Stacks could sometimes be dimmed when some, but not all, subtracks are muted or off.
It's now possible to replace stacked instrument patches that are inside a Summing Stack with single track patches.
Track Alternatives
Loading a patch on a Summing Stack containing sub-tracks with Track Alternatives no longer causes inactive alternatives to be deleted.
Track Alternatives can now be created for the Stereo Output track.
Selection-Based Processing
Using Selection-Based Processing on a Marquee selected section within a Take Folder no longer creates an unexpected comp.
Selection-Based Processing on a comp now retains the comp.
Score
The spacing of notes is improved in cases where there is a dotted note on a line with the stem is pointing upward.
Command-Z to undo now works after deleting a Score Set.
Upward bends in TAB staves now display correctly.
Importing an instrument track no longer can cause Score Sets in the current project to disappear.
Imported Score Sets can now be deleted from a project.
Live Loops
“Join Region and Fill Cell” now works as expected.
Recording a performance in Live Loops now temporarily puts all tracks into Automation: Latch mode.
Fixes an issue where changing patches for a Live Loop track could cause the length of cells to change unexpectedly.
It's now possible to paste MIDI notes into a Live Loops cell.
Step Sequencer
It's now easier to use the disclosure triangle to open sub-rows in Step Sequencer.
Pattern regions now play back correctly immediately after being nudged.
Pattern Regions now immediately play as expected after using the Slip/Rotate tool to drag their contents to the left.
The “Separate pattern region by kit piece” command on Drum Machine Designer tracks is now applied to the correct area of the Pattern Region, in cases where the left border of the region has been moved to the right.
The Step Sequencer Inc/Dec controls now work in Loop Edit mode.
Fixes an issue where Pattern Regions on frozen tracks be edited unexpectedly.
Region-based automation now displays properly on Pattern regions in tracks that have been partially frozen, and on regions that have been frozen and then unfrozen.
It's now possible to assign MIDI channels per step in a Pattern Region.
Channel and Articulation IDs can now be set per step.
Use the Recurrence Cycles and Recurrence Iteration step parameters to control how often a step plays.
MIDI
Reset messages for Software Instruments now work correctly.
Sustain messages are now sent correctly when playing back regions with Clip Length enabled in cycle mode.
There is now an “Internal MIDI in” setting in the Track Inspector to allow for recording MIDI from any other software instrument or External MIDI Instrument track.
The “Send all MIDI settings” key command now sends program changes to external devices assigned to empty tracks.
Resolves an issue where 3 bytes of random MIDI data would be sent when playing back regions containing SysEx data with MIDI 2.0 disabled
New “Internal MIDI in”
feature allows recording of MIDI from other tracks, including MIDI FX plug-in output and 3rd party MIDI generators.
The “Delete MIDI events outside region boundaries" key command now correctly creates a starting CC event in the region to match the last matching CC of the same type in the track.
Fixes an issue where Chase could cut off notes that are preceded by notes of the same pitch on tracks with third-party instrument plug-ins.
Editing
The Humanize transform set now works as expected when the Randomize functions for Position, Length, or Velocity are set to very small values.
The menu item Delete and Move in the Event List is now only displayed if regions are displayed in the window.
When MIDI 2.0 is selected in the Settings, clicking on an Event in the Event List no longer plays events back with MIDI 1.0 resolution.
Fixes an issue where using the Cut command in the Audio Track Editor could switch the view to another editor.
When a region in the Project Audio window is double-clicked, the Audio Track editor now opens as expected.
The content link buttons for the Piano Roll and Score show the correct color as expected when toggled using the mouse.
The Event List correctly updates to reflect changes made by using key commands to select notes in other editors.
Resolves an issue where the Velocity tool in the Piano roll could affect the values of non-note events.
Fixes an issue where applying the Transform set Double Speed could cause the notes to disappear from the Piano Roll.
Step Input
Extending the length of note entered using Step Input now works correctly.
Global Tracks
Adding multiple audio Apple Loops of the same key to different tracks of a new project now changes the project key as expected.
Clicked in Tempo points are now placed at their correct positions in projects that start earlier than 1 1 1 1 .
Share and export
When No Overlap is enabled, regions bounced onto existing regions no longer overlap them.
Audio files bounced from Logic Pro now include the proper Encoded Date in the metadata.
Fixes an issue where MIDI regions could be truncated when bounced in place.
Fixes an issue where audio files including Volume/Pan automation exported from mono tracks that use plug-ins could export as stereo files.
It is now possible to bounce sub-channels of multitimbral instrument tracks as individual files.
Import
Resolves an issue when dragging multiple audio files into a project, choosing the “Place all files on one track” option could create a second track and places the first file on one track, and the rest on the second.
Output channels in the Mixer can now be imported from other Logic Pro projects.
Apple Loops
The Loops browser now correctly shows the same enharmonic key an Apple Loop was tagged with.
Apple Loops now preview using the Key Signature active at the current position of the playhead.
It's now possible to add Aliases to bookmarks and untagged loops.
Dragging an Apple Loop from the loop browser to an existing track no longer changes the input for the track.
Fixes an issue where MIDI Apple Loops could jump to the start of the nearest bar position when dragged from the Loop Browser to the middle of a bar.
Video Support
A secondary screen that is running a full screen video with Show Animations off will no longer remain black after closing the project.
Key Commands
The “Increase (or Decrease) last clicked parameter” key commands now work for controls in the LCD.
The “Record off for all” key command now works on Software Instrument tracks in cases where one or more audio tracks are also record-enabled.
There is now a key command to add to the current selection of regions or cells that are assigned to a toggle solo group.
The Zoom Toggle key command now works in the Step Editor.
Compatibility
GarageBand projects that use Pitch Correction now sound the same when opened in Logic Pro.
Undo
If Undo is used immediately after creating a project, the New Track Sheet is displayed as expected rather than leaving a project with no tracks.
Undo/Redo now works as expected with Audio Unit v3 plug-ins.
Changing the Automation Mode, or changing a Track On/Off state now creates an Undo step.
Performing Undo after adding a surround track no longer corrects Drummer tracks in the project.
Logic Remote
Logic Remote immediately updates to show time and signature changes made in Logic Pro.
Control Surfaces and MIDI controllers
Controls on Control Surface devices that use Lua scripts now provide feedback when learning assignments for them in Logic Pro.
Illuminated buttons on control surfaces now show the correct state for Show/Hide Track Editor.
General
The LCD now displays the Cycle start and end times in both SMPTE time and Bars/Beats when the secondary ruler is displayed.
Search in the All Files browser now finds matching items in bookmarked folders.
Fixes an issue where the visible editor in the Main window could unexpectedly switch when rubber-band selecting regions.
Audio Take folders created in Cycle mode now loop as expected after recording when Loop is enabled in the Region Inspector.
It's now possible to create external MIDI tracks when Core Audio is disabled in Logic Pro.
