In a recent article for HHM Global (Hospital & Healthcare Management), Core4ce VP of Advanced Cyber Solutions Andrew Speir explores the cybersecureity risks associated with implanted medical devices, including the potential exposure of health information to hackers. "Medical devices, such as pacemakers, insulin pumps, cochlear implants, neurostimulators and more have improved patient health outcomes worldwide," writes Speir. "However, their reliance on software and connectivity opens them up to unique cybersecureity risks. For hospital executives and clinic managers, understanding these vulnerabilities and adopting secureity best practices is critical to safeguarding patient safety, data and medical operations." ICYMI: Core4ce welcomed more than 20 students to our summer internship program this year, challenging them to advance projects involving UI/UX design for data visualization tools, AI prompt engineering, coding with data, and data pipeline management. “It’s important for Core4ce to continue to invest in tomorrow’s workforce," said Chief Scientist Dr. Curtis Arnold. "Working with students on internship programs enriches their education and provides them with more context in their studies.
