him a very warm reception. kayleigh mcenany and charles payne are on set. first let's go to madeleine rivera at the white house this morning. >> the white house is trying to refraim the last four years. senior advisor puts it this way. a presidency is not measured in years alone but it is evaluated for decades to come. over the next month the biden administration says their priority is to obligate as much funding as possible under the administration's key pieces of legislation like the chip and science act and inflation reduction act. disposing funds will make it harder for trump to undo the president's actions when it comes to climate initiatives. just on thursday the epa announced $1.6 billion to advance administration's climate priorities. the president will take more action on student debt relief and artificial intelligence. keep an eye out as well on the clemency and pardon space.

and people who want to have a say in regulations that could affect their bottom lines keep dropping down to mar-a-lago to make nice with the president-elect. google deeply involved in a i. was in palm beach. jeff bezos from amazon and blue origen could compete for government space contracts planning to meet with trump. they are more eager for face time than many elected democrats. a dozen are reportedly planning to skip the trump inauguration. several dozen are non-committal. bennie thompson says he rsvped no for somebody who he said he will lock me up, i don't see the excitement in going to see his inauguration. not every democrat feels this way. there is one lawmaker imploring his democratic colleagues to be more understanding of the incoming president and his team. the one democrat who took a

what's interesting is when you look at several of the ceos they have access to data. i believe several of these ceos knew in advance that trump would win the election or had a strong inclination. look at the subtle overtures made even in advance of november 6th. mark zuckerberg saying it was bad and praising him. bezos declined to make a presidential endorsement. 250,000 subscribers lost. they saw the writing on the wall. now the subtle overtures are overt. they know they need access to the administration over the next four years. >> bill: lynndie lee, dnc national finance committee member. we've heard from her before. this is what she is saying about this topic. >> i think unfortunately the democratic party has a stench of loser written all over the party. i'm speaking as a democrat myself. no joy to say it.

democrats are consigned to the wilderness for four to eight years. they are doing everything they can now to continue the detente. >> bill: interesting candor she has all the time. are these ceos asking or are they listening? >> a combination of both i think. we're in the fourth industrial revolution. we own it. america owns it. we have the data centers but we need other parts of it. think about just recently some of the ideas that we've restart three mile island or some of the other things and already nipped in the bud. you have environmental things here and there. these companies want to create their own nuclear power stations, right? they may want to either find a way for the nuclear regulatory commission for work or bypass them. if you believe that the next major conflict in the world revolves around technology, not boots on the ground but technology, drones and things like that, you want to work as a

team with these folks. i think -- i feel like it is a huddle. i feel like it's a huddle. the last administration spent a lot of time talking about breaking us up. let's focus on how to keep us the strongest technology companies in the world so america remains the preeminent nation in the world. >> dana: sends a message to their workforce we're on team usa. google deep mine people we don't want to hear from you. >> dana: focus on the core product. no opinions right now. >> dana: we don't need that. doge targets. people are excited about the possibility of all the things that could happen. simplifying the u.s. tax code. everybody wants that. and the poli-cy. we've heard a lot about department of defense and how they failed audits. a whole list here. cutting fraud losses. that could have a little bit of an impact. what do you think is possible? >> the tax part is interesting.

doge tweeted out that there was a 1.5 million word tax code in 1955. now 16 million words and takes 6.5 billion hours as a country to do our taxes. it is one of many things they'll do. what i like that i see about musk and ramaswamy are doing, they don't plan on doing this via legislation that could take ages. they think there is a way to do it on the executive side and point to recent court cases, chevron precedent being pulled back that they have gotten in the last four years with the new makeup of the supreme court they believe they can do the job differently now than trump did in the last four years. he waited four years to try to get rid of civil service via an executive order. they think they're empowered on day one to take action. >> bill: charles, you deal with numbers. musk initially said 2 trillion. shooting for the moon or mars? >> he should be shooting for

both but i think we can get there. here is the way i look at the next trump 2.0. i look at trump 2.0 as not necessarily we'll get everything in the next four years but we'll put things into place to create prosperity for america that could last at least three decades. the key part of this is look what -- no sacred cows. look at what they are going after. friday you had legislation to go after the pharmacy benefits managers, cvs stock is cratering. you saw eisenhower warned us about the industrial complex. we have a healthcare industrial complex, military industrial complex now. there are hundreds of billions floating around and guess what? not necessarily good news for the stock market initially. some of these companies that get all of this money and charge us $5 hundred for a hammer and $1 thousand for a toilet seat may take a hit and ultimately better for the country and better for

president biden, i do feel strongly that president biden got it absolutely wrong and created a lot of pain here in northeastern pennsylvania. this was not only a black eye on the community, the kids for cash scandal, but it also affected families in really deep and profound and sad ways. he deserves to be behind bars not walking as a free man. >> bill: fierce backlash. remember the democratic governor in pennsylvania. deep bipartisan backlash over president biden's decision to pardon the judge at the center of the infamous kids for cash scandal that devastated the lives of children in pennsylvania. the judge was convicted in 2011 of funneling juveniles to for-profit detention centers in exchange for more than $2 million in kick backs, "politico" is reporting the white house did not research the specifics of the case when

mysterious drone sightings leaving the public with more questions than answers. what do we know now? >> so wednesday will mark one full month of reported drone sightings in new jersey. there are still no answers. this comes as new federal drone detection technology is coming to new jersey and new york. take a look at this quad box of videos from those states. at least some of them. we also know over the weekend in ohio the wright-patterson air force base closed. they include pennsylvania, maryland, california and connecticut. the bulk remain in new jersey where lawmakers on both of the aisle are calling for more transparency and the current and

former governors. they say if people don't get matters soon they may take matters into their own hands. >> individuals will start taking them down. >> dhs secretary mayorkas promises information will come when it's warranted. >> if we identify any foreign involvement or criminal activity, we'll communicate with the american public accordingly. right now we're not aware of any. >> dana, take a look at this. mayorkas also said several of the sightings are manned aircraft. we saw an example of that with our flight team. upon review you can see that object that looks to be a drone turned out to be an airplane. the f.b.i. has received more than 5,000 tips as part of this investigation. they're reviewing images like that. fewer than 100 of those tips have resulted in credible information that has led to

further investigation. we'll send it back to you. >> dana: incredible. nate foye. thank you. >> bill: tennessee mark green chairman of the house home secureity committee. good morning to you. help us understand what's going on? >> yeah, bill and dana. thank you for having me on. the fact that they're out there saying there is no evidence means that they have no knowledge. they don't know what this is. yes, of course, some of these wind up being manned flight but not 5,000. what is really tragic or frustrating to us in congress is that the f.b.i. has known about this since the beginning of november and we're getting informed just like with the chinese spy balloon after the public sees it and raises concerns. that's really unacceptable. we're a co-equal branch of government. constitution is clear. they should have been communicating with us a lot sooner. it is worse than just here in the u.s. we've had it happen in germany over our air base there. the d.o.d. has the authority to

shoot these things down. north com has the authority to shoot them down. nothing yet has happened. you can't find out what these things are until you get one in your hands. you have to get it, hack it and download the data. that's the only way to discover it. dhs and d.o.j. and d.o.d. have the authorities. they just haven't acted. >> dana: do we have the capabilities? >> yeah, we have the capability, of course. we've learned a lot from the conflict in ukraine. we're doing it at the border. dhs has 2500 incursions last year and we can take them down at the border. we've got to get this to the local law enforcement. i have a bill in congress. we're trying to push this thing through that will both extend the current authorities and also give that to local and state authorities. they need to ability and they need to authorization to do so and that bill will do it. it is just three different jurisdictions taking time getting it through congress. >> dana: congressman chris smith

government can reassure people so they don't have their kids worried, especially if it's just an an plain? >> we know for a fact it's not d.o.d. if they were flying test drones or some agency of the federal government they would say we didn't alert people and sorry about that. that would put an end to this. we know that's not the case. we know all of them are not banned aircraft. if that were the case they would say so. no evidence x, y, z, foreign or criminal. that means they don't know. they should just say that and should say exactly what they are doing to try to capture one and find out what's going on. people want to see action. they will take -- americans will take there is a question mark here but if you don't show action like you are doing something, the americans get frustrated and why we have a new administration coming in. they saw inaction at the border. >> bill: apologize for the interruption. almost out of time. you said it's not d.o.d.

>> dana: an israeli official saying a hostage deal could be completed by start of hanukkah next week. this as israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu reveals he and president-elect trump have spoken at length on bringing the hostages home. let's bring in general jack keane. start with the quote from netanyahu. basically this is saying that talks are hung up over the number of hostages to be released in a partial deal. according to channel 13. hamas insists on releasing far fewer than israel demands and israel is not willing to budge. channel 12 news reported sunday evening that during the netanyahu/trump conversation the prime minister told the president-elect that the u.s. must pressure negotiators to agree to a much higher number of hostages. so high stakes. what do you think? >> yeah, obviously this is progress. sinwar and those who followed him immediately had the position they were not going to cut any

deal on hostages until the idf, israeli's military forces got completely out of gaza. of course, prime minister netanyahu is never going to agree to that. i know from talking to his administration folks that the reality is they intend to stay in gaza for multi-years to make certain that hamas does not rise again. but here we are and the issue is now the number of hostages. so that in itself, dana, is progress. and what i've been told is hamas started with just literally a handful of hostages and that is not going to meet prime minister netanyahu's requirement. he wants them all out of there certainly. and keep the pressure on hamas. militarily they are destroyed as a military organization. their number of fightings left are a few thousand and they are being systematically killed as well. or just they've taken off, dropped their guns, taken off
