Introduction
The Collection Description Accrual Method Vocabulary provides a set of terms that can be used as values of the dcterms:accrualPolicy property in descriptions of collections. It has been developed in association with the Dublin Core™ Collections Application Profile (DC Collections AP)but this vocabulary is independent of that profile and the terms defined here may be referenced in other metadata descriptions and used as the values of other properties.
In statements in DC metadata descriptions, the URIs of the individual terms may be used as value URIs and/or the labels of the terms may be used as value strings. The vocabulary encoding scheme URI is http://purl.org/cld/terms/AccrualMethod.
A representation of the terms in this vocabulary is also available as an RDF/XML document.
Note
All references to properties, classes, vocabulary encoding schemes and syntax encoding schemes in DC metadata descriptions are made using URIs. In this document, Qualified Names of the form prefix ":" local-partare used as abbreviations for URIs which identify metadata terms. Prefixes are assumed to be associated with Namespace Names (URIs) as follows, and the corresponding URI for the term is constructed by concatenating the Namespace Name and the local-part:
