About 71% of the Earth's surface is covered by water, and oceans hold 96.5% of that. That's a lot of water! Oceans are vast enough that they affect weather patterns, and their depths are teeming with life. Sometimes, that life is a harmful algae bloom called a red tide, but what causes a red tide? And why do tides happen multiple times a day?
