Responsibilities

• ensure in an independent manner the internal application of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 in the Commission;
• inform and advise the Commission departments and their staff on their data protection obligations;
• ensure that the rights and freedoms of data subjects are not adversely affected by the processing operations of Commission departments;
• keep the public Register of Commission’s processing operations; and
• cooperate with the European Data Protection Supervisor.
