👋 Welcome!
We’re using Discussions as a place to share announcements to the community. Previously we were using a pinned GitHub issue but it had to be locked to community members couldn't easily comment or react to the announcement posts. This allows us to provide a list of announcements as well as allow members to communicate/react back.
For now we are going to leave the discussion page just for announcements so that users can easily subscribe to the discussions page and get announcement emails. Hopefully one day GitHub enables a way to subscribe to one discussion topic and we can add more topics here for discussion. In the mean time, please feel free to join our community Discord as this provides a great place to talk to other community members, share ideas, and ask questions! (Discord Link)

To easily follow and subscribe to all future announcements, you can use the "Watch" feature in GitHub with a custom subscription to the "Discussions". This button is in the top right of the repo page, it either says "Watch" or "Unwatch". Then you can click "Custom" in that drop down menu and make sure to check the box for "Discussions".
