When will there be a new release? Questions about the maintenance status of this project #542

Hello 👋🏼 I apologize in advance, I know that these kinds of questions are annoying, I'm not trying to cause any drama. I'm considering using Markdoc in a new project, but I kind-of want to understand the future of this project, since I'm anticipating my new project being something that will stick around for several years. Is Markdoc still actively maintained? I ask because it seems like there hasn't been a release in a little over a year, and the commit history seems to suggest there is some activity but it all just looks like minor bug fixes. Just want to know that it's worth investing time in this tool for the longer term. I've reviewed a few different pieces of tech and I think Markdoc most cleanly aligns with how I want things to work. Thanks! |

Hi @macintacos! This project is still actively maintained - we just cut a new release to include those minor bug fixes. Although we do not have plans to add major new functionality at the moment, Markdoc is still powering Stripes external (and internal) documentation platforms so we continue to fix bugs and most minor improvements where it makes sense. Let us know if there are specific feature requests or other questions you have. |
