Seafood lovers can rejoice because September 25th is National Lobster Day.
Melba Dearing, the owner and chef at Savoy on Detroit’s east side, appeared on “Live in the D” to celebrate the occasion.
Dearing showed host Tati Amare and guest host Greg Russell how to make lobster pasta and provided some tips on how to get your lobster just right.
“A trick at home, if you’re cooking it in the shell, you want to look for the shell to be a nice bright red, but if you’re cooking it out of the shell, you want it to be an opaque color,“ Dearing said.
