You’ve seen him on screen in movies like “Oppenheimer,” “28 Days “Later,” “Inception,” and more, and now academy award-winning actor Cillian Murphy is starring in a new movie.
The actor talked with “Live In The D” host Tati Amare about his new Netflix film titled “Steve.”
Murphy plays title role of Steve in the film that’s about a head-teacher at a reform school and a crucial day at the school.
“I think he’s endeavoring to do his best for these kids, but he’s under an extreme amount of pressure due to funding and just his own personal stuff that he’s trying to deal with throughout the day. It’s kind of one of these days from Hell that we witness,” Murphy said.
Coming off projects recent like “Oppenheimer” and “Small Things Like These,” Murphy talked about taking on the role of a teacher.
“Both my parents are retired teachers. My grandfather was a headmaster and a lot of my aunts and uncles are teachers, so I feel like I’ve grown up around that profession and I have a huge respect for what teachers do...” Murphy said.
You can watch Cillian Murphy in “Steve” streaming on Netflix beginning October 3rd. It’s also currently playing in select theaters.
