Schoenherr Roofing provides tips on how to survive the harsh Michigan winter – Fall might have just started, but now is the time to make sure your roof is ready for Michigan’s harsh winter.
Ross Schoenherr, owner of Schoenherr Roofing, joined “Live In The D” to share his expert tips on how to keep your roof and your home safe this winter.
“One easy thing is, if you can do it yourself or pay someone, get your gutters cleaned. It’ll help minimize leakage and also ice damming in the winter.”
Schoenherr, whose team replaces roofs across metro Detroit, said the average roof they tear off is about 15 to 16 years old. He added that his company’s installations are built to go roughly 30 years thanks to materials and proper installation.
Schoenherr Roofing also offers financing, including 0% interest options and payments starting at $99 a month, to keep homeowners from putting off essential work before the snow flies.
Giving back is a big part of the company’s fall push. “We’re really happy to be a part of our veteran roof giveaway program,” Schoenherr said. “We have nominations available for two free roofs this season, and we want to give a roof to a veteran in need.”
How to nominate a veteran: Visit mymichiganroof.com/veterans and submit a nomination for someone who has served and needs a safe, secure roof before winter.
Schoenherr’s bottom line for homeowners: a little prep now can prevent costly headaches later.
