MELVINDALE, Mich. – After two days, the City of Melvindale has lifted a boil water advisory.
Officials issued the advisory following a drop in water pressure on Oct. 8, 2025, which raised concerns about possible bacterial contamination in the city’s water supply.
Although bacteria are common in the environment and usually not harmful, precautionary measures are necessary when water pressure drops for an extended time.
The Melvindale Police Department is now providing instructions on what residents and businesses should do after a boil water advisory ends.
