DETROIT – Lingering clouds and light winds have helped hinder dense fog formation this morning, but we are seeing some lighter haze in low-lying areas due to the remnant moisture from yesterday’s persistent rain. This current setup allows for the chance for isolated to scattered showers later this afternoon and evening, but not everyone will see it. Even if you don’t you will feel that moisture in the form of humidity. Highs today will be seasonal as we top out in the low 70s.
As skies clear tonight we could see more fog developing by tomorrow morning. A pattern shift will begin tomorrow that will bring an extended stretch of mostly dry weather and clouds giving way to sunshine through midweek.
Plan for a warmer weekend as high temperatures will rise to around 80 and stay above average into early next week.
