The most recent Northeast rain events, enhanced by the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee, once again sent rivers and creeks over their banks and residents in low-lying areas from their homes. Over 20,000 residents were evacuated in the Binghamton, NY area where the Susquehanna River at Binghamton and Vestal hit new record flood levels, surpassing the previous peak set on June 28, 2006. Evacuations along the Susquehanna and Delaware Rivers in Pennsylvania topped 100,000.
