He gives hope to those who lost a limb
In 1998, Makur Diet lost his leg to a bullet in war-damaged South Sudan. At an International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) centre in South Sudan, Makur makes prosthetic legs and gives hope to other persons who have lost a limb.
Hundreds or thousands of nominations are received for the Nobel Prize every year from members of academies, university professors, scientists, previous Nobel Prize laureates, members of parliamentary assemblies and more.
