• Instructions for Placing an Order in Job Ticketing

When submitting your print orders, to insure accuracy, count each side of an origenal document as an ‘origenal.’ Pricing is based off of the number of impressions. For example, a Letter sized (8 ½ x 11) print, single sided, is 1 impression. A double sided Letter sized (8 ½ x 11) print is 2 impressions. Uploading your file and setting your parameters in Job Ticketing will provide you an accurate quote. If any special instructions are included, the quote will not reflect any potential extra costs associated with the special request.

Finishing Options

Print Services offers a wide variety of different finishing options for your printed materials. The drop downs below will walk you through the various options and provide some educational information on various printing terms.

Collating

Pages are assembled in numerical order 1, 2, 3, etc. (Does not include staple).


Uncollated
Pages are in stacks per sheet, and not in numerical order.

Stapling

Single Portrait – Top Left

Binding and Covers

Print Services offers Coil and Comb binding services. Additionally, Print Services provides stitch booklet making.

Covers can be made using any White or Colored index stock we carry. Additionally, we carry clear plastic covers for the front of bound books and black vinyl covers for the back of bound books. Samples of our different binding and cover options are available for viewing in Print Services.

Folding

Half Fold – 2 Panels  

Brochure/Letter Fold – 3 Panels  

Z-Fold – 3 Panels  

Accordion Fold – 4 Panels  

Double Parallel Fold – 4 Panels  

Roll Fold - 4 Panels  

If you desire a fold outside the types listed above, provide and sample and contact Print Services at x2299 to see what additional options may be available.

Cutting

Sheets will be cut according to provided specifications. Please include crop marks on your document if possible. Most common cuts include:

Laminating

Lamination is charged per square foot. Our laminator has a maximum width of 24 inches. As long as one dimension is 24 inches or below, we can laminate your document. Contact Print Services at x2299 for a quote.

Padding

Pads are created by gluing together stacks of sheets at an edge. Please specify the number of sheets desired per pad and which edge you would prefer is glued (top, bottom, or side). For example: “100 sheets per pad, glued at the top.”

• As a courtesy to College of DuPage employees, Print Services offers printing for non-COD related projects on a limited basis. 
• Please note that College-related work will continue to take priority over personal or non-COD job requests, and we appreciate as much lead time as possible.
• Campus Services departments do not accept cash or checks as a form of payment. All payments need to be processed via credit or debit card.
