Share a Wi-Fi password on Mac
If you’re signed in to a Wi-Fi network, you can use your Mac to share the password with another nearby Mac, iPhone, or iPad.
Make sure your Mac is unlocked, it’s connected to the Wi-Fi network, and you’re signed in to your Apple Account.
Make sure of the following:
The person you’re sharing the password with is signed in to their Apple Account on the other device.
The person is in your contacts list in the Contacts app.
The other device is close to your Mac.
Note: If you’re sharing the password with another device you own, make sure your own Apple Account is in your contacts list.
On the other device, choose the Wi-Fi network.
On your Mac, wait a few moments for the Wi-Fi Password notification to appear, then click Share.
Thanks for your feedback.
