JOVS Annual Report (2024)

Greetings from Dr. Alan Sihoe and Editorial Office of Journal of Visualized Surgery (JOVS)!

Till Dec. 31, 2024, JOVS has a total of 51 members on board, from 14 countries. With joint effort and support, JOVS published 29 articles with 8 Surgical Technique and 6 Case Reports. Corresponding Authors came from 10 countries, mostly from the USA, Japan, Switzerland, and Italy. According to Google Analytics, all together 57,302 readers visited the website with 167,173 pageviews in 2024. Several special series are ongoing. For more details, please check the below report.

JOVS features a distinguished editorial board, the members of which continue to instill the power of their expertise for the journal’s development. By launching this column, we are glad to introduce to you some of them in the form of interviews, in which they will share their unique career experiences and perspectives. We are pleased to announce that the Journal of Visualized Surgery (JOVS) has received its 2023 CiteScore: 0.4, ranking 410 out of 511 journals in the Communication category.

Furthermore, we are delighted to highlight the remarkable achievements made by all AME journals in the CiteScore ranking.

JOVS is officially indexed by Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)

On April 18, 2024, a confirmation letter reached the editorial office of Journal of Visualized Surgery (JOVS) that the journal had been selected for inclusion in the Emerging Sources Citation Index. Articles published in JOVS after 2022, beginning with Vol 8, will be included in Emerging Sources Citation Index (Figure 1).
